He's directed two national Emmy-winning PBS specials for financial guru Suze Orman, worked with legendary music producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, documenting their work with artists Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, and others. Produced and directed a rare on camera project for radio legend Garrison Keillor, the 30th Anniversary Special of "A Prairie Home Companion" (a 9 camera, High Def., 24P Broadcast & DVD). One of his recent projects... documenting a 180 Music “Spotlight” CD Series for Target – with musical artists Jason Mraz, Kenny Loggins, Brian Wilson, Stephen Bishop, Dave Matthews and many more.

He joined up with Jean again to produce and direct a live concert (with special guest Mary J. Blige) at SOB’s in New York City for Music Choice, and has also put his organizing and directing talents to work on Jean’s yearly foundation concert in Miami for The Box Music Network (featuring Diana King and Mya).
Brandmeier’s success in multi-camera directing projects also led to directing a solo performance special with the extraordinary musician, Bobby McFerrin, 3 national PBS specials with financial expert Suze Orman, and documenting the first-ever visit to the U.S. by the Beijing Opera Company, all to rave reviews. Other highlights – a broadcast special with David Hyde Pierce (of NBC’s “Frasier”), on the fearsome disease of Alzheimer’s.
Major movie studios have called on Brandmeier’s documentary talents to film behind-the-scenes on a variety of movies; Beautiful Girls, Mighty Ducks, Grumpy Old Men and more.
Brandmeier is the founder and creative force behind the well-known Minneapolis based production company, Moving Pictures, Inc. (est. 1987). While there, he established a strong relationship with MTV on a variety of projects; rockumentaries with R.E.M. Motley Crue, and the Beastie Boys, multi-camera movie specials with Keanu Reeves & Christian Slater, an award show with En Vogue and live with U2 on the VMA’s.
